I really love the look of all the beautiful glass tile necklaces that I am seeing all over Etsy. A while ago, I found this great tutorial on a blog called The Hybrid Chick that showed exactly how they were made! At the time I made a couple for gifts, but since I’ve been doing some painting in my sketchbook, I decided to see if I could shrink down some of my watercolors to use as glass tile necklaces.
They were very easy to do and I’m happy with how they turned out. The hardest part is shrinking down the images to 1″ x 1″ and getting them centered on the tiles.
I thought about doing my own tutorial for these, but honestly, the one I found over at The Hybrid Chick blog is excellent.
I will be listing these soon in my lonely, empty Etsy shop. It’s about time I got some stuff in there! These are all the designs I made, but I’ve got lots of ideas for more! Maybe some leaves for autumn?
