Just a quick post to show you what I did this weekend. I turned a pair of my old denim jeans into three cute purses. The two smaller ones were created from the bottoms of the pant legs, using the finished hem for the top of the bags. I used fabric from two different repurposed pillowcases for the linings, and die cut pieces of felted sweaters for the embellishments.
The larger bag is embellished with one of my watercolor mandalas printed on fabric and reverse appliqued onto a pocket. I added charms and beads on the bottom of the pocket. These were a lot of fun to make!

I can see that these were a lot of fun to make! And look at how beautiful they turned out!
What a great idea for using old jeans. I have been saving mine for a quilt, but I think I will have to “sacrifice” a pair and make a bag!
